Graphic Design_UN MiGration - IOM

IOM is the UN office that takes care of migration affair in the world. Communication is one of the biggest difficulties that the migrating population suffers once they find themselves in a new country. To help with that they commissioned me to design a manual to help foreign people to communicate in public health centres.

The idea was to make a booklet with five languages and lots of illustration to make easier for the patients to show what they are felling and to understand what the doctor is saying.

For that I drew more than 20 unique characters. One for each pain or illness. For this is a material to people from different countries, representativity was one of our main concerns during the characters development.

Here you can see some of them.
